Meteorology changed omens to science
It's become too exact for my taste
Predictions become perfect reliance
of guaranteed kick ass waste

News media evolved from rumor mongering
to reporting in exacting detailed fact
misery and devastation Earth wandering
displaying human death with blurred tact

Mankind grew from stones and arrows
to slings of unimaginable might
but when nature drops rage in barrows
there is naught to be used in the fight

We know the sky will soon fall again
we've seen nearly all it can do
Humanity painfully smart yet remains
with no defense to natures aim true

Note: Let us hope the next one finds us better prepared
