Well there was this little white lady
Who had a little white cat,
And upon her lap
All day he sat.
Well this little white lady
Who had long gray hair,
And that lazy old cat
Were an inseparable pair.
For they only had each other
In which to love and care,
For it was the twilight of life
That they now would share.
One day that little white lady
Was nowhere to be found,
But you know that lazy old cat
Still hung around.
But as he lie beside
Her empty chair,
He felt loneliness
Beyond compare.
And soon his life
Came to a lonely end,
As he died of a broken heart
From the loss of his friend.
But that little white lady
And that little white cat,
Were soon content together---in heaven
For it was there again---that on her lap he sat…BWL
