Memories threaded through needles of time,
Battle for power in scenes that streak by;
Unfolding like history’s paradigms
Of conquered worlds and fantasies that die;
Rare treasures, these memoirs that represent
A lifetime of riches there to unearth
When nights are long and my vigor is spent,
Or times when life offers no joy, no mirth;
Thoughts to savor for all they are worth,
Scenes from a lifetime are given new birth.
