Warm sun
coaxes me out from under the shade of a tree
It whispers in my ear about the pleasures of the surf.
“Lift your skirt to your waist.
What do you wait for?
Modesty
is for those that
live half-lives.
Sink your feet into the wet sand.
Feel the pull of the tides.
Wade in
until the water lifts you
as if in a lovers embrace.”
