Miguel

When it comes to Miguel my mind constantly wonders,
Of what ifs and maybes I continually ponder.
Where could this go and what could this be,
A future with him I can definitely see.

My feelings are real and oh so very deep,
Into my heart they slowly did seep.
Now they're embedded and permanently there,
For the rest of my life I'm doomed to care.

His face, his eyes, his smile so sweet,
I melt in his arms, can't stay on my feet.
His smell, his touch, his taste I miss,
Being held in his arms is total bliss.

Holding him close and wanting him so,
A future with him I'm never to know.
A few moments of his time is all I ever get,
Secret meetings, stolen kisses just slightly wet.

Passionate love making is what my body aches for,
All too soon he's heading back out my door.
Waiting till the next time I can see him again,
All night in my bed is never, not when.

So day after day I cry all alone,
Wishing to hear the ring of the phone.
Loving and caring for a man I can't have as my own,
Holding onto hope for a future unknown.

He'll have my heart for the rest of my life,
Loving a married man is nothing but strife.
The pain, the hurt is not how this should be,
I'll keep loving Miguel, but no one can see,
I'm dying inside for us to be we.
