In Morse Code
with dot and dash
suggested we
might make a splash,
The night was dark
rain and haze
across the lake
we fixed our gaze,

You slipped into
something loose
your house made from
an old caboose,
With speed you skipped
down to the beach
an old canoe
in easy reach,

Pushed off the shore
into the night
stroked steady to
my Morse light,
Halfway across
an inspiration
a moment of
contemplation,

You reached the shore
I was waiting
we both enjoy
this way of dating,
I handed you
a glass of wine
how was the paddle?
you said just fine,

I scanned your form
your mental state
your lack of clothes
your sensual plate,
Heaped with tasty
treats, h'ordeuvres
I ran my hand
along your curves,

As we walked
up the path
as each of us
did the math,
The dots and dashes
of destiny
me and you
and you and me ...
