Mosquito Wins Miss America

(Spoken while blinded with tears, sobbing.)

First, let me say, I love my family—
Those wiry Culicidae. They've been so, so supportive,
And I've been blessed, blessed, with
Our family's slender body and long legs.

As for that hematophagy, and that vector thing,
We're very sorry. I mean, disease
Is always awful. But not our fault
And, goddamit, I'm a queen you should exalt.
