past window ice
I eat cold pizza
the last slice,
mid-week morning
wondering who
I would love
if not you,
Wandering brain
wandering eye
like the raven
prone to fly,
for no reason
for no goal
stretching muscles
expanded soul,
Sunrise coming
soft jazz sounds
all those highways
all those towns,
we had coffee
we made love
and then push
came to shove,
Sun bright now
pizza history
images of
a lovely mystery,
split the sheets
keep the feelings
and all those roadside
motel ceilings,
the poem is even better.
Normally I find such short lines ineffective, but they work wonderfully here.
good work!!

Reflections and thoughts of loves he has known and enjoyed as morning comes and he is ~ on his way.
Quite an image here
Of exploring love in all the wrong places
With a view of varied motel ceilings.
