Sarah my daughter I watch you delight.
Your laughter is a song sung straight to my heart.
Your carefree abandon revives my own spirit.
You shine with a glow that can only emanate from within.

A daughter is what I wanted from the start.
But God chose three boys first to cherish in my heart.
Last he chose to deliver you, my gift so rare and so true.
When I had thought my family growing was through.

Sarah Kathleen is the name I bestow.
I love you my darling from head to your toes.
My beautiful girl and I hope someday my friend.
I will love you from now and beyond the world’s end.

My Sarah, my daughter, my friend.
