The run,
For peace of mind.
To clear my head, and feel
the strain and aching,
of my body.

In the rain,
I run, in the wind.
In the snow, and ice and in the sun
In light or darkness,
My pounding feet.

My chest,
Burning.
Hearing my breath, in time
with the pace of
My run.
