So much less,
so far down
where mountaintops
are a zero,
the clouds
outstretched
nimbus wings
drift to a sea –
to an absolute
absolution.
While standing
ankle deep in foam
his hand points
to the nothing
hovering overhead
as the waves
gently lap
washing the sand
from the void
underfoot.
