The older I am
The slower I go.
The less I run
The more I know
My ratio
Of tortoise to hare

Which is but
A metaphor,
Mere scribble
For some
When ink is poem,
For others
Some riddle
Of what's to come.

"everything's a metaphor..."

...someone once said to me.

this made my head trip a little adjusting from the one rhythm to the next

really liked that line 'when ink is poem'
