Eyes of hazel
Looks of wonder.
when did He know it
she knew from the
beginning.

Together they walked,
down that path
again and again:
trodden so
many times before

why did He think
it was different
This time

and her hand was
small in His
Could it be her breath
on the morning mist
her smell as she
swayed against Him

Or was it the feral look
in her unguarded
eyes that told
Him what would be
