My mother gasped, "I'm worn out Son,
And my life here on Earth is done.
I'm so happy Son that you came,"
My tears fell like Summer's soft rain.

I thought about my mother here,
Laying in bed, with death so near.
My mind showed me the years gone by,
And Mama was about to die.

I held Mama's hand in my own,
And sobbed "Mama, you're not alone.
If I could I would take your place,"
Mama smiled as she touched my face.

"Don't cry Son," she whispered to me,
"I'll love you through Eternity."
Then Mama's breath, stopped with a sigh,
My heart broke and I had to cry.

I think of Mama every day,
Since way back when she passed away.
I think of her and want to cry,
And do so, from, "Our Last Good-Bye!!"
