Peak of Desire Ch. 10byvirgofemme©
"Hello...anyone here?" A voice called from the rear of the trailer.
Instantly recognizing the thick Cuban accent, Erica emitted a displeasured sound, then glanced up at Cody, who was giving her an inquiring look.
"It's my neighbor from across the way."
He exhaled a breath of frustration, then buttoned up his pants. "Great. Perfect timing."
Calling out to her friend, she said, "Give me a minute, Marisol. I'll be out in few."
She rose onto her feet, then smoothed out her shirt and ran her fingers through her hair a few times. Glancing at Cody, she saw that he was buckling up his pants, and also noticed that the fabric of his jeans still showed visible signs of his excitement.
Seeing where her gaze was planted, he spoke to her in a disappointed voice. "I'll be out in a minute."
She nodded, then stepped out through the beaded curtains and headed for the living area. As she came into view, Marisol offered a smile.
"Hi Erica. Long time since I last saw you."
"Yeah, I know." She leaned against the kitchen counter, then stuffed her hands into the pockets of her denim jeans. "Sorry I haven't been around lately, but I've been kind of busy."
"Yes, I remember you mentioning you had a new man in your life. The truck that's parked outside, it belongs to him?"
"So where is he?"
"I think you already know the answer to that question."
The smile on Marisol's face turned into a smirk. "Sorry if I'm interrupting. I'm just really curious to see him. Hope you don't mind."
"And if I did?" There was a joking tone to her voice.
"Then I would leave."
"Mhmm, sure." She crossed her arms in front of her chest, offering her friend a crooked little smile.
The beaded curtain which sectioned off her bedroom gave a little rattle as Cody parted it, causing both of the women to direct their attention his way.
"Marisol, this is my boyfriend Cody. Cody, Marisol."
Obviously taken by the gorgeous man in front of her, Marisol's eyebrows rose in appreciation of his tall, manly form. "Nice to meet you, Cody." She held out her hand for him to shake.
"Likewise." He clasped hands with her. "Sorry I can't stay, but I need to be getting home. It was nice meeting you, though."
"Yeah, same to you."
Cody's gaze turned to Erica. "Walk me to my car?"
She nodded, accepting his hand as he led the way to the door. Glancing over her shoulder, she said, "Make yourself comfortable, Marisol. I'll be back in a bit."
The Cuban woman nodded in response, plopping onto the couch as she watched the couple head outside. As soon as they were by his truck, Cody cradled her face in his hands and captured her mouth with a firm, tender kiss. Both were reluctant for the moment to end, but out of necessity to breathe, their lips finally separated.
His thumb glided over her kiss swollen lips. "I'll give you a call tonight, okay?"
"Alright, drive safe."
She watched as he got into the car, then started up the engine. He offered a wave before hitting the gas and she gave one in return. Then he drove off down the road, heading out of the RV park.
After climbing the steps leading up to the trailer, she opened the screen door and stepped inside. Marisol greeted her with a smile, and as she reached the fridge, Erica pulled out two cans of soda. She handed one to her friend, then sat next to her on the couch.
"So tell me your about your weekend. I want you to hear everything about this trip."
"Everything? I may have to censor a few parts."
"No censor. Tell me every last detail."
Erica cocked an eyebrow and gave her a look of amusement. Then she popped the tab on the soda and took a long sip. After quenching her thirst, she began to share the amazing events of the weekend she'd spent with her lover, a pleasant little smile tugging at her lips as she did it.

As Cody and Erica entered the grocery market, they were greeted by the beeps of checkout scanners, as well as the easy listening music that emitted from the store's speakers. They'd spent the earlier part of their Wednesday strolling the block of Abbot Kinney, an area in Venice that was full of mom and pop stores, vintage boutiques and art galleries.
After working up an appetite, they'd stopped for lunch at a little fish and chip spot, then drove out to a specialty health food store a couple miles away.
Now here they were, contentedly walking side by side as they perused the produce aisle. Erica's choice of clothing for the day consisted of a black denim skirt that reached mid-thigh, a floral print tank top that clung tastefully to her breasts, and a pair of black flat sandals. Cody was dressed in a pair of black jeans, a faded screenprinted tee, and as usual, his favorite pair of worn out boots.
After picking out a variety of fruit and putting it into little plastic bags, they headed for the vegetable section. They came to a stop in front of the cabbages, and as Cody grabbed hold of one, the vegetable directly below it fell from the pile. It hit the floor with a soft thud, then rolled nearly a yard until it came to a stop in front of a display of strawberries.
With a smirk on her lips, Erica looked at him and said, "Smooth."
"Yeah, whatever. Not my fault it decided to jump ship."
She lightly chuckled, watching as he went off to retrieve the cabbage. Once he had it in hand, he walked back over to where she stood.
"Think it'll still get sold?" He held the cabbage out for her to look at.
Taking a glance at it, she saw it was covered in hair and dirt. "Oh, gross. You're not gonna put it back on the pile, are you?"
"Should I?" His lips tugged into a wide grin.
"You are so bad." A smile creeped onto her lips as she shook her head in disapproval.
"I'm only joking. Look, I'll put it down here, so that nobody picks it out." He dropped it into a cardboard vegetable box that was placed on the floor next to the cabbage display.
Noticing she was inspecting the cucumbers, he sidled up beside her, watching with intent interest. Erica didn't have to look at his face to tell that he was looking on in amusement, and she eagerly waited for the moment when he would tell a penis joke. Yet several moments passed and still not a word from him, which led her to inquire about his uncharacteristic silence.
"Go ahead, say it."
"Whatever penis joke you're currently formulating."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
Although she hadn't removed her eyes from the stack of cucumbers, she could clearly hear the smile in his voice. "Uh huh. I know you're itching to say it."
"Sorry to disappoint you darling, but you're wrong. I'm not nearly that predictable."
"Okay, sure." She playfully rolled her eyes, then grabbed a nicely shaped organic cucumber.
After slipping it into one of the little vegetable bags, she picked out another, offering it a light squeeze to test out the firmness. As she was doing this, Cody walked off to check out some papayas that were on sale. She was just picking out a third cucumber when she felt the warm sensation of a breath against the back of her neck, followed by the sound of her lover's voice.
"You like them long and thick, huh?"
She turned to look behind her, glancing up to see Cody smiling down at her. The corners of her lips twitched, threatening to break into a wide smile, but she turned her head before it could happen.
"Duh, it's a cucumber. It's supposed to be thick."
"Those ones aren't." He pointed to a variety of gherkins that were visibly thinner. "So why not pick one of them?"
"I prefer the bigger ones."
"I just do."
A light snicker escaped his throat, and he lightly pressed his hips against her backside, then encircled her waist with his arms. After positioning his lips next to her ear, he began to speak. "I've got something long and thick, and it's far more satisfying than a cucumber."
A slight shiver ran through her from his words, and as the image of his penis came to mind, she felt herself become instantly horny. The mere touch of his body and the sound of his deep, sexy voice always put her in the mood, and she suddenly felt a strong urge to quickly complete their shopping trip.
"Is there ever a time when you're *not* thinking of sex?" She asked.
Although there wasn't anyone within range of hearing he still spoke softly, as a precautionary measure. "You can't tell me you're not turned on by what I just said."
Erica remained silent, focusing her eyes on the phallic shaped vegetables in front of her.
"So tell me. Just how badly do you want me inside of you?"
The grazing of his lips against her neck caused her body to flush in arousal, and she felt the spot between her thighs began to grow wet. "Cody, come on. We're in public." She glanced nervously to her right, then to the left, hoping that nobody was approaching.
"What's the big deal? I'm only hugging you."
As his breath grazed against her neck it created a tickling sensation, causing her to release a giggle. She tried to loosen his arms so she could free herself, but before she had the chance, a familiar female voice suddenly came from behind them.
They both turned to face the source of the voice, and found themselves standing in front of a tall, curvaceous brunette.
"Oh hey, Shoshanna. How are you?" Her face creased into a smile at the sight of Jacob's sister.
"I'm doing good, how about you?"
"I've been well, thanks. So what brings you to this neighborhood?"
"I'm out here visiting my boyfriend. He lives not too far from here." Casting her eyes toward Cody, she said, "You must be the boyfriend."
He nodded in response, then offered his hand for her to shake. "Cody."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Shoshanna."
As a handsome East Indian man took his place beside Shoshanna, she launched into an introduction. "This is Ashwin. Ashwin, this is Erica. She's a friend of mine. And this is Cody, her boyfriend."
Ashwin offered his hand for Cody to shake, then clasped palms with Erica. After everyone had finished exchanging pleasantries, Erica and Shoshanna resumed their conservation.
"Funny thing, running into you here," said Shoshanna. "I've been meaning to call you for days now, but for some reason I just never got around to it. You're coming to Jacob's cocktail party on Saturday, right?"
"To tell you the truth, I'd completely forgotten about it. I might stop by, but I'm not completely sure just yet."
"Only a maybe? Come on, it'll be fun."
"I don't know...I'm just not sure if it would really be my thing. Plus I don't even know if Cody is interested." She briefly looked at him, sending a clear signal with her eyes in hopes that he would pick up on her complete disinterest in attending.
"Actually, I'd love to go."
"Sure, why not?"
Shoshanna's coral colored lips cocked into a smile. "Great, so you'll both be coming."
Trying her best to hide the disappointment in her voice, she said, "Looks like it. The only thing is, I don't have any cocktail attire."
"Well that just means we'll have to go shopping for some. What are you doing Friday evening?
"Nothing as of yet."
"I'm free as well, so we can look for a dress then. I know this great boutique in Santa Monica. They have high quality stuff at very affordable prices."
"Sounds like a plan."
"Cool, I can't wait." She flashed her perfect teeth, then said, "Well it was great seeing you again." She wrapped her arms around Erica in a brief hug, then offered some parting words to Cody. "Nice meeting you."
Shoshanna's boyfriend offered both Erica and Cody a nod in parting, then gave them a smile.
"I'll give you a call Friday afternoon so we can set up a time and place to meet up," Shoshanna said.
"Okay, cool. Talk to you then."
"Later." She gave Erica a little wave, then walked off hand in hand with Ashwin.
Once Shoshanna was out of hearing range, Erica glanced up at Cody, offering him a look of pure annoyance. "That signal I was sending you, did you pick up on it all?"
"What signal?" A huge smile creased his face.
"You know what signal. My eyes were letting you know that I wasn't interested in going to that party. So why did you tell her you were interested in attending?"
"Because I am."
"Why not?" He pushed the shopping cart forward and they both made their way out of the produce aisle.
"It'll probably be boring."
"Maybe. But we won't know for sure unless we show up."
As they reached the breakfast food aisle, Cody browsed the shelves, trying to decide among the large variety of boxed cereals. "This Jacob that's giving the party...how do you know him?"
Erica's lips pulled into a crooked little smile. "Oh, so that's why you wanna go."
He cast his eyes briefly in her direction. "I'm not jealous, if that's what you're thinking. Just curious as to how you know him."
"We went to massage school together. I've mentioned him before."
"Oh yeah, now I remember. You used to practice on each other, right?" The way he said the word 'practice' made it seem as if the word left a bitter taste in his mouth.
He grabbed a box of corn puffs off the shelf, then placed it in the cart. "And what's the basis of your friendship now?"
She offered a little shrug. "I don't know. We talk every now and again, but other than that, we aren't really in close contact."
Spotting a bottle of artifical syrup, her retrieved it from the shelf, then put it in the basket. Knowing that he'd picked it out especially for her, she gave him an affectionate rub on the back. "Sweet of you to remember I like the fake stuff."
"Gotta make sure I keep your favorites on hand, don't I?" He gave her a little smile, then wheeled the cart forward. "So when was the last time you saw this guy?" He asked as he veered the shopping basket into the next aisle.
"Around two weeks ago."
"Hmm, that sounds pretty recent for someone you're not in close contact with."
"We didn't meet up to hang out. He ended up being my massage client."
"He hired you to give him a massage?"
"Yep." Eyeing the peanut butter, she walked over to where it was located and grabbed a jar of extra chunky.
"Wow, he must be desperate."
A light chuckle fled her lips. "What do you mean?"
"Well if he was truly interested in only friendship, then he would ask you to go out for coffee or something. But instead he hired you to come to his house and give him a massage. It's pretty obvious he's trying to get into your pants."
"He knows there's a line, and he's not going to cross it."
"How can you be so sure?"
"I've known Jacob for a couple years now, and not once has he tried to take advantage of me."
"That's good to know, but I still find it creepy he hired you to massage him." He spent a few moments looking over the different brands of honey, then decided on a bottle that was bear shaped.
"I think he was just trying to rekindle our friendship. We hadn't spoken for months, so I guess he figured that was the best way to get back in contact with me."
He shrugged. "I guess so."
"Anyways, he's certainly no threat to you."
Turning to face her he said, "Of course he isn't. You're my girl and nothing's gonna change that." Then he took hold of her waist and gazed into her eyes. "And besides, I'm the one that's captured your heart."
Leaning into him, she rested her palms on his broad shoulders, enjoying the feel of his fingers as they grazed against the small of her back. "I wasn't aware I'd given it away."
"That's why I used the word captured."
Erica's lips curled into a little smile, and as he leaned in to kiss her, she tilted her chin upward, allowing him to claim her lips. The kiss they shared was soft and tender, and as he pulled back from her mouth, he stared deep into her eyes.
"You've got my heart as well. You know that, right?"
She nodded in response, allowing one of her palms to lay against the left side of his chest, feeling the beat of it against her palm.
"My heart is fragile, so please be gentle with it." The expression in his eyes was full of seriousness.
Although she was certain that it hadn't been his intention, she couldn't help noticing just how poignant of a statement that was. He literally did have a compromised heart, and it only made the moment they were sharing all the more touching.
"I'll take good care of it," she said.
"I know you will." He tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear, then placed a soft kiss against her forehead. "Now let's hurry up and finish shopping so we can get out of here and go home."
Her lips tugged into a little smile and she nodded, walking beside him as he pushed the cart forward and down the aisle.

Having spent the last hour primping her face, body, and hair, Erica now stood in front of her full length mirror, studying her reflection with a look of satisfaction on her face. Clad in a cocktail dress with a rhinestone encrusted bodice and a flared skirt made from black organza material, she was perfectly attired for Jacob's party.
The heels she had on elongated her shapely legs, and the smoky eye shadow she'd applied made her look like some kind of femme fatale. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing though, as she liked the mysterious look that it gave her.
Erica retrieved a bottle of hairspray from the shelf above her bed, then pressed the little white button to dispense a light mist of the haircare product. After recapping the bottle she set the can down, flipped off the light switch, then headed for the front of her trailer.
Glancing at the clock on the wall above the kitchen counter, she was it was half past six, which meant that she and Cody had half and hour left before Jacob's cocktail party would begin. She'd just poured herself a glass of water and was taking a sip when she heard a knock at the door.
After setting the glass down, she retrieved her mini black clutch off the couch and went to answer the door. The look on Cody's face when she pulled it open was one of definite approval, his eyes roving up and down her body as he openly admired her well dressed form.
"You look absolutely stunning."
Her lips pulled into a wide smile. "Thanks. You look quite handsome yourself." Taking in his attire, she saw he was wearing a black dress shirt, dark gray slacks, and a black suit jacket.
After stepping outside and locking the door behind her, she turned and gave him a peck on the lips. He clasped hands with Erica to keep her steady as they descended down the short flight of RV steps, then they made their way toward his car.
When they reached it, he opened the door for her, seeing that she got up into the cab of the truck without any problems, then he closed the door behind her. After walking around to the driver's side, he climbed behind the wheel and they took off.
Forty minutes later, they arrived at Jacob's house, yet instead of having Cody park at the curb, she navigated him up along the winding driveway that would lead them to the contemporary style house. After pulling in behind a black Mercedes, Cody put the car in park and they both got out, heading for the door.
Curiously eyeing the boxy shape of the ultra modern house, he said, "Interesting looking place. The guy must be loaded to be able to afford a pad like this."
"He wasn't always this rich." A little smile tugged at her lips as she recalled his previous residence. "Not even four months ago, he was living in a one room studio apartment."
"So how'd he upgrade to a place like this?"
"He had a recent windfall of money."
He gave a nod in response. "Well good for him. Can't hate on the guy for having some good fortune."
As they reached the entryway, Cody pressed the doorbell and a pleasant chime noise rang from within. The sound of heels clicking against a hard surface followed, then the door opened to reveal Shoshanna.
