Her limpid thoughts may well appear
to her to be completely clear:
as untroubled as a calm sea,
transparent in their clarity;
While they are thoughts and not expressed,
can she still hold my interest?
Will her words gushing eagerly
allow restrained integrity?
And can she trust that she'll not fear
my responses will just appear
to cloud her thought, not make her wet:
my naughty and pellucid pet?

Quivering_Quillabout 11 years agoI did enjoy the poem as it has a nice flow to it and a well penned story line.... Must agree that Pellucid, although a nice word, might be better being something like lascivious, salacious, or even precocious... Nicely done...
