Practise breathing.
Draw a breath in .
Force it back out.
Drag life into lungs
Stagnate from staying still.

Practise thinking.
Form random thoughts ,
Of what if ,what if I.
Get out of my warm cocoon?
What if I get dressed ?

Practise seeing.
Open my leaden eyes lids
To focus on filtered light,
That sneaks past heavy curtains
Invading my safe heaven,

Practise moving .
Curl toes into cotton sheets.
Stretch unused muscles.
Lift my body from the bed,
And brave the cold air.
