Goddess Aphrodite
Fill my life with love and passion
More than wilting flowers
Dying from the moment they are plucked
More than dripping candle wax
With flckering decietful light
More than genaric thoughtless romance

Bring instead a lover whose touch
is filled with a hunger never satiated
Whose gaze is a thirst that knows no quenching
and whose eyes drink me in for eternity
Whose kiss is filled with yearning
to taste, to nibble, to drink

Who knows only desire
to draw our bodies close
Pressed so tightly
that we might occupy the same space
That there would be no distance between us
and yet yearn to be closer still

Goddess Aphrodite
Mighty Venus
Lover of Gods
Mother of Gods
Grant my Petition
Love! Passion! Desire!
Venus Aphrodite,
Lastly I pray
Beautiful Goddess
To bask in the heat
But be safe from the fire!

Multiple spelling errors VS flowing content from a unique perspective.

Worthy of 4 stars.

Giving you 5 to help make up for the previous lousy ratings.

Aphrodite's fire

A better poem than it's mark suggests ... and in length alone stands out. Love Fire safety requires either keeping a distance, or donning protective emotion/attitudes. And full insulation only loneliness. But past the youth fires, which can flicker life long, we all want a sexual loving romance ..for life. Desire: Aphrodites Fire. The old trick requires a bare foot walk. Best wishes. steve UK

Several...

typos distract from an otherwise good poem. You might want to edit and repost. Spellcheck flickering, generic, and anon's less than polite observation on deceitful.
