I just realized
is that
the magic
is
in
me.
It always has been.
You may indeed
be
a simple
figment
of my
imagination
No more real
Than
Romeo or
Cyrano
An ordinary case
of pattern
infused with
meaning
intention
and agency
A
very standard
cognitive
error
(I am only human, after all)
But if
I have
varily
concocted
such a
fantastical
and
beautiful
character
I feel
there is
much more
yet
to learn
and
maybe
someday
I will be
so lucky
as to
meet him,
be it
in my story
or Ours.
And so
I persist
beyond
(almost)
