Click hereMy little bark,
was tempest tossed.
No sign of land;
all hope was lost.
Signs of land,
upon the sea.
I thought cruel life,
was taunting me.
Floating debris,
no place to stand,
nor could I grasp it,
in my hand.
Adrift and starving;
parched with thirst,
fading fast,
I feared the worst.
Through the darkness,
I could'nt see,
a friendly shore,
to welcome me.
Sinking fast,
I looked to see,
a searchlight, searching;
could it be?
That,
the love I sought,
was seeking
me?
(Me) "How did you find me,
on so vast a sea?"
(She) "Your words are what attracted me.
I wished such words, were spoken to me."
I seized that line,
and tied it fast.
I knew, I was rescued.
I'd found my true love at last.
She drew alongside:
I jumped on board.
I dropped to my knees,
and thanked the Lord.
That's what it felt like and
how much you mean to me.
I'm so glad we met
I love you Heidi.
(The voyage is my life and my search for love. The signs of land was a relationship I thought was love but she proved untrue and it fell through. The search light and the words are my love hearing me consoling someone who was feeling lonely, and she was attracted by my words. The one I was seeking was seeking me and we were instantly attracted. dreams really can come true.)
My ship is wracked on rocky shores
so glad you missed the shoals
I share a very similar story...and the love I have found I am grateful for each and everyday. We have begun the process of learning each other. Two holidays spent together and now we are in nthe midst of making our relationship 'beyond forever'...thank you for sharing and giving words to finding a 'soul mate'...
