Under the poppy snow you lay me
down, we drift under, we shrink
to the size of shadows.

I sleep knowing I want every
memory to bear your imprint.

Your paws pull me close,
claws remind me secure is
Secure.

sleep now

The man of metal will soon wake us with
his reflections, oiling our parts for
the next roll and show.

Childhood fantasy worlds
replaced with your script.

Faline.
Jane.
Mary Anne.
Wendy.

Always you were there,
and we, lovers always.
With skinned knees and a sticky chin
I loved you
always.

Photograph and phonograph we dub you in.
Bed knobs, broomsticks, everything becomes
passion with you in the scene.

Stage left.
Snow White waits for your tongue,
your fingers.

Climb in charming,
what are you waiting for
the snake or the apple?

I loved your rewrite...

of all of the classic fairytales and how you made your "him" the main character in all. Wonderful concept penned here of a fantasy I'm sure we all have had at least once {or a hundred} times in our lives <wink> This was a wonderfully enchanting expression of passionate visions of your childhood sweetheart and one and only. Thank you for sharing this dream with Me today <smile>

ack!

I can't believe this poem has no comments. I love this poem. Still deciding on the last line, though. Anyway, great poem.
