Roads never really end. Your dead-end street
will have a stile to climb, a door to pass
into another field, another room

while coming back is never absolute.
The clouds above have changed and you don't feel
quite unaffected. There's regret, relief,

raw anger; there's the joy of different views,
new vistas and a change of air. You'll wend
your way and shrug. Roads never really end.
