Of all the famous lovers of legend and of lore
I never thought that one would come a-knocking at my door
Love was something left behind, of childish fantasy
That was until I noticed that you'd set your sights on me
Emotions rushing through me, like a dam unleashed
Desire that won't be satiated like a feral, untamed beast
You remain a mystery, your thoughts under lock and key
Allowing only glimpses of what our future will be
I do know this is true though, you're wanting me for keeps
Filling me with pleasures that bring me to me knees
Cyrano, a silent fool, who missed his chance at love
And Romeo, just a boy, who wished to be a glove
But you alone hold up this tale, make it real enough
You catch me when I've fallen, when things have gotten tough
And until that day, when stars align and finally we kiss
I'll dream of all those future days, of happiness and bliss.

Thanks!

The glove thing: R & J, Act 2, Scene 2:

See, how she leans her cheek upon her hand!

O, that I were a glove upon that hand,

That I might touch that cheek!
