Down they fall like diamonds from the sky,
Glittering in the winter moonlit night,
Each one different and unique.

Together they cover the ground,
Blanketing the hard, cold Earth.
Pristine, white and pure,
Like the innocence of a child's first kiss.

Snow covers the branches of the trees,
Bringing beauty to what some view as dead,
Making it appear new and bright under its veil.

Winter brings abou a time for nature to sleep,
To rest its weary head for the spring to come.
