Dare I slip
into your house again
reaching from the shadows,
my fingertips peeking
beneath satin curtains,
furrowing forbidden folds
still adorned in golden bands?

Dare we seek
desire's locked doorways,
searching tender breathlessness
here together - parting from vows
to merge in passion's cloak
our lust the dagger
prying this house of love?

Dare we speak?
It's in the silence
the answer is spoken
in your blossoming flesh,
the warmth of our bodies
hidden in the darkness -
two spies in the night.
