Squash Blossom

Two up two down
in London town,
pre-work Weeta-bix
spooned from bowl to mouth.
Morning news whispers from the telly

On wooden steps
soft padding,
scuffling descent.
at the doorway
stuffed in doctor denton Bunny suit
my daughter appears

Remote to Postman Pat
and his black and white cat
delivering his mail
with claymation synchronicity

In the stillness
we share cereal and smiles
as sunshine unfolds

What a beautiful poem!

Such memories best best simply spoken, I think, and you've painted a lovely picture of that moment. I'm honored to have had a sorta sneak preview. ;)

*Using thermometer and I don't care.
