Lightning sheets        forked lightning
why don't they say string lightning
Looks to me, the Gods
in their heavens, are dropping
balls of electrical string
down on Us
or is it the children of the gods

Sometimes I wonder
are we just little nuisances
for some beings
so far larger than us
that we are motes, specks of dust
for them
and all that we see is naught
but a microcosm; and
they do not even see us.

How many worlds and
how Many universes
in the end
all we may be are atoms
on the skin
of a basketball
or a football
An ignominious end
to all of
humanity
