high above an endless play in ballroom midnight vaulted
sun and moon embraced adance each others gaze exalted
mirrored pleasures smile in turn an endless minuet held arms
at length
a soundless music carries forth their careful measured step

too brilliant for the naked eye sun wears his heart for all to spy
behind cloud seething warmth pervades in spite of shrouded visage
moons many moods cold joyous blood red harvest laughing warm the body
not yet kindle spirit beacon guide heart hidden hers from naked eye

cold scars adorn her silken face oath sworn in testimony grace
and wisdom bare her lifted chin she teases sun his heart to win
desiring truth her need to nourish faint her laughter burns a
flourish in her eyes that open wide revealing playful hidden wiles

behold she feigns disinterest sleeps reclined in naked promise
disappears to gather strength and leaves the sun in wanton longing
times together in the sky sun chases moon her brides train sighs
and closes sleepy eyes to find her arms are clasped around him

pirouette sight seldom seen where hand in hand lips brush a teeming
harsh embrace moon rakes suns fire to hold it deep within desires
her heart a kindle bears his seed to parcel out in measured need
yet leaves her trembling passion faded strength hers thin and wavering

time slowly bows serene sky poignant tinged a midnight blue
vaulted heavens wreathed adorn sprigs of wedding bells a slew
neither sun nor moon their faces seen surrendered dance in lieu
one wonders if they stop to meet and kiss beyond horizons view
in stillness true
