Sunset on the bay
Bringing the end to another perfect summer day
A day spent in wonderful horseplay

Sneakily, it sits in waylay
Oh, if only its coming we could belay

Orange now begins to give way
To the purple and pinks that underlay

Dancing across the waterway
For all eyes to survey

A day we wish we could replay
But now the skyway
Our wants does betray

And we today’s
Castaways
Must give way

To nature’s marvelous matinee

Eveningtide.

A gorgeous photo of a sunset on the Bay. While the picture alone is reason enough to read this ~ the poem is even more exquisite if that can be possible.
