Terror in the night
Woke me up in a fright
I woke up in tears
My body trembling with fear
The sounds of my screams
Ripping me at the seams
Transported back in time
To that memory trapped in my mind
The pain is too real
Just like that its all I can feel
It overwhelms me with defeat
Knocks me off my feet
I'm lost in a sea of despair
I can't see enough hope to send a prayer
I need to heal
But how can I when this is how I feel?
I need to fight
This terror in the night
