On a mountain top
A young man lay alone broken
within the walls of a shattered home

Left behind by all he held dear
he prayed to the darkness every night

For so long only silence filled his ears
he began to despair- to cry
Then as he began to close his eyes
he felt a sudden breeze as she lowered near

She came down on wings of chrome
within her metallic spans, the moon light shone
Her body, a living shroud of the night sky
clothed in night's shade robes,Azure orbs for eyes

The young man quivered in awe as the angel came closer
wrapped him in her embrace, She spoke to him
Told him his nights alone were over

His heart filled with joy hearing her soft words
she was sent by the night goddess herself
to give him what he thought lost forever

She cradled him close carried him outside
spreading her sharp, deadly, glorious plumes
the angel would love, protect and care him always

He kissed her, with her wings they took flight
In each others arms they went to start life anew
wings of steel shining as they soared
like a star in the night
