The Potter`s Wheel

He leans over the spinning wheel,
gnarled hands and knowing fingers
clay and water mixed
ideas translated into form,
the skill of the master becoming art.
Elemental in nature,
complex in expression.
Broken shards lie about,
discarded dreams of what has been.
But now he knows,
that this is what he has longed for.
Intently he shapes, molding,
pouring his passion into this vessel.
A knowing grin upon his face,
he looks down at his work,
You.
