The snake and the den

A snake saw a nest
But it would't come in
The hole wasn't ready
It needed to chill

Little by little
The snake became fierce
Its little weak body
Turned so much thick

The door to the nest
Was little in frame
But the animal tried
To get in anyway

The snake tried it once
But it couldn't pass through
At its retreat
The walls a little moved

The hole was now wider
Just a little but true
The snake tried again
There was now much more room

Inside it was wet
Cozy, nice and warm
The snake trembled and
Got out once more

With one final thrust
The snake finally got
To the end of the cave
Its head touching the wall

With the contact the snake
Felt the place was quite good
To lay down its eggs
And follow its route

Once it was done
The snake left the den
Relaxed and chilled out
Its body to bend
Time to fall asleep
Another day to an end
