If we could forsee
a bitter end,
would we travel
the vortex of time
and do life over again?

Reach through space
and grab God's ring.
Hang onto stars
with hope of better things.

Look down upon mortals
rushing down avenues of strife.
Pandering to persecutors
who gain favor,
at the point of a knife.

Fighting the suction
of destiny's black hole.
Relinquishing the hope
of redemptions soul.

Open eyes wide
to the gift of foresight.
Leave the past,
measure the present,
and travel the vortex to daylight.
