I came home from a hard day's work,
I needed me some rest.
Like so many other men,
I had things on my chest!

I switched the TV on and got,
A beer and then sat down.
I found a Western I liked,
And then began to frown!

I'd watch a little while then stopped,
An Ad came on for me!
If I could just send ten bucks,
They'd send me something free!

I watched a little more of Tex,
Then came an Ad once more!
This time out Death Valley way,
They offered lake land shore!

Then dear old Tex came on again,
Shooting out all the lights!
Seems he met the villan and,
Got in a bar-room fight!

Then once again they blessed me friend,
With still another Ad!
This one the greatest of all,
They wanted all I had!

I watched a fifteen minute show,
With forty five of Ads!
I tell you friends it wore me out,
The worst damn day I had!

Then finally six o'clock came round,
I switched it to the news.
"Lo Behold!" The same again!"
I got the TV Blues!!
