Strange for a child so cynical
To harbor such a fear of clowns
Yet tears each night soaked the pillow.
Who knew that favorite pillow
Could make someone so cynical
Leaving them terrified of clowns?
Each night an uncle nightmare clown
Returned with the Bozo pillow
To “visit” one so cynical.
Damned cynical clown and pillow.
