A wave of nostalgia --
sweet, yet awfully painful --
washes over me
sitting here listening
to the man in the lime green suit
sing "One Song".

I find myself there,
back in my youth,
the dreams I had still new,
the hopes untried,
the heart unbroken.

A new wave - tears now --
follows hard behind.
I weep now, and wonder
when can I dream once more?
When can I hope again?
When will I heal my heart?

The power of music

to bring back the past - not always a blissful experience; but usually bittersweet...
