You're nobody until somebody loves you,
And nobody loves you unless you have
A twenty-inch waist, buns of steel
Wonderbra heaven, nibbling at every meal.

What kind of world is this, where people die
Every day, chasing the elusive dream?
Waking up to the nightmare of withered limbs,
Sunken eyes, flesh melting away from bone?

So sad, when humans become lowly animals
Based on facts and figures; when the outer shell
Is more valuable than the treasures within...
One day we'll all be broke.

Mind over measurement

Your poem points the moral very clearly.

Unfortunately too many people judge solely by externals. The advertising industry sells with images of airbrushed/manipulated perfection that almost everyone will fail to find in any human.

Thank you for reminding me that beauty can be beneath the external appearance.
