Have you ever heard the trees
when they sing to you like thunder
Have you ever been like me
in a world that makes you think
about the texture of the waves
or the color of the wind
when the sun is dancing madly in the sea

You will when you're with me

Have you woken from a dream
just to walk into another
Have you spoken to the street
turned a question to an answer
carved a heart into your hand
carved your name into the street
worn your secrets in your face for all to see

You will when you're with me

Have you leaned into the storm
like a kite that wants to hover
Have you opened up the door
to the wind or to a stranger
filled a canvas with your faith
built a monument of trust
set the music and the laughter in you free

You will
and you will understand
there is no other way
when you're with me

A Thank-you and congrats on a great poem

What a gift of words you have. Congratulations on a wonderful poem. For me personally, it was a mood, not a message, you were describing your feelings on love and a loved one. Nicely put and this poem is one of my favs.

Ty for your comments on my poem, greatly appreciated and chin up and cheers.
