Was the killer really insane,
Or who had anything to gain?
Was it Bob's friend to was to blame?
John Carpenter wanted Bob's fame!

How about Patty, the sly bitch?
Wasn't she acting like a witch?
Did she arrange for Bob's murder,
Or, do we have to look further?

Ron Dean the detective in charge,
Was blocked by the D.A. in charge.
He found enough proof to arrest,
The D.A. refused his request!

Sixteen years finally to trial,
The trial results just produced bile.
John Carpenter got away clean,
And this end result was obscene!

Bob Crane of Hogan's Heroes fame,
Played just too hard, and lost the game.
He trusted the wrong one for a friend,
And John Carpenter caused his end!!
