You laugh and the sun shines
The birds sing in asinine pleasure
Children giggle and play
And all the world is one

You rage and the ground trembles
Lightning flashes its anger
The clouds cringe in fear
And thunder growls its fury

You cry and the moon weeps
The stars hide their faces
The wolf mourns for its mate
And the angels sob rain

You hate and the ocean roars
The ardent lover grows cold
Doves cower in mindless terror
And nations wage war

You love and the night is still
The forest sighs its content
Cats smile at hidden secrets
And I am at rest with you
