Your name likes it warm and moist.
That’s why it lives in my mouth.
I brush my teeth twice a day
So it wouldn’t feel uncomfortable.
Sometimes, when I’m not careful,
It slips out for everyone to hear
And I have to come up with an excuse
Rather quickly.
People listen to me and nod their heads,
But their lips are full of irony.
It is because someone’s names
Live in their mouths too.
