Damn

First off, a tale about a couple of one percent individuals pisses me off. Secondly, If anyone reading hopes for a cuckold tale, you got it.

"With Giselle's superstitions a thing of the past, I'm a really happy and content fella!"
Nope! I don't think so! You're just another hapless wimp writer.

All women are package deals

The Assets vs Liability count was quite entertaining. This woman had specific and special qualities indeed. The fact that she wasn't cheating out,of lust or emotional involvement but whacked out superstition and competitiveness hubris - well I think the narrator has the savvy to manage her melange of crazy and if not ? Well, it is just a story. Full marks. *****

Perfect

Reading some of the previous comments I can only conclude that they are perfect people, have never made an error of judgement or have done anything in their life to be ashamed of, they can probably walk on water also. A good fun read and yes many people are very serious about their superstitions, myself I have never been superstitious and touch wood never will be.

Highly original

Since I prize originality and entertainment value over all, I LOVED this story. Having written many BTB stories myself I laugh at all those who can only judge a story based upon whether the guy kills the wife and her paramour regardless of the circumstances. Having your wife cheat once under truly bizarre circumstances does not mean the end is inevitable.
As for the comment about "sloppy seconds" apparently you can't read. He got to them the night before the Open BEFORE there was any fucking.
As for the comment about "1%ers" the story's fictional main characters were the epitome of those who give back -- I'd wager much more than the person who made the comment!

Good Writing

Not much emotion though.

Thanks for the effort.

This is, without question, one of the most selfish male characters I've read in quite awhile. He knew she had superstitions and training rules to help her be and internationally competitive athlete. Superstitions are an acceptable bi-product of being an athlete. Success comes from training and consistency in that training. Superstitions are a subconscious reminder of the importance of that consistency. I bet even the asshole narrator has his own superstitions in his world, only when they come from rich business execs we call them idiosyncrasies. Was a shower fuck a normal superstition of Giselle's? No. It became one when he disrespected her training rules for his own base behavior. Someone who is so compassionate about the environment and his employees cannot respect the values and mannerisms of his wife's job? Doesn't make sense. Was the story well written? Yes, quite well in fact. Was it believable? No, characters were inconsistent. 4* because that's what I think it deserved. All of these 5 bombs and 1 bombs just to show someone that their vote can be negated is insane.

@ amyyum

First let me say you're gorgeous and your husband is a lucky man. Your comment though made me wonder how lucky? You reminded me of the old joke where a guy asks a girl if she will go to bed with him for a million bucks. She looks at him, and as he's not heinous, she says yes. Delighted, he says well then how about twenty bucks? Shocked, she exclaimed "What kind of girl do you think I am?" He says "we've all ready established that. Now we're negotiating the price."
If you don't believe in right and wrong you can always come up with an excuse to break your vows. It just becomes a matter of do you think you can get away with it.

What I believe...

What I believe goes more with what @amyyum thinks and said...I know people who are very superstitious, it's like a disease, and she was wrong, but all she did wasn't to cheat but to confort her for the game...Sure, she cheated, but that wasn't her intention...

Entertaining Fantasy

Thanks for the read.
Personally I seem him as cucked but not getting sloppy seconds. I do not understand the logic of reclaiming her so violently that she was in condition for a long match. Further I found his not respecting her right to her personal feelings was the start of the problem.
Lastly my evaluation is based on the principles of Amyyum....

Liked it

I don't agree with making her jettison her superstitions. A person's beliefs are a part of who they are. That would be no different than having someone stop believing in their religion. Both are built on unproven "facts" but they greatly shape a person's core. He fell in love with her with these beliefs. To have her change them would be to change her into a different person.

Other than that I liked it

The one and only fact that is relevant - this is one extremely well written tale. It has other positive, (in my opinion), attributes, but the writing is the important one.

Sorry, I can't rate it more than 5 stars.

Priceless

So if you're superstitious it's OK to fuck around? Try thinking it through, you idiots.

Hmm.

According to some, JFK was a hell of a president.

According to some, Clinton was a hell of a president. That they fucked around was sort of incidental to the other aspects of their personality.

How many 'Title' Level tennis players are there? Few! How hard is it to get there vs. how hard is it to be a wife?

No one wants to be cheated on. Think Hillary was full of rainbows and lollipops over the prospect? That being said, let me post a hypothetical: Say hubby has her clear her superstitions...and now she fails as a tennis player.

He has made someone extraordinary into someone ordinary.

All you guys who lift weights...who do martial arts...who are amazing at some aspect of your life...are you going to gain 50 pounds of fat for your wife? Are you going to stop going to the dojo or put down that golf club/game controller/quit your job...just for your wife?

Easy to say. Hard to do.

I didn't like this story much, even as I tend to respect the writers originality of thought. I am having a hard time characterizing why. I think the pacing was off. Two pages of introduction and a page of conflict.

I frankly am sympathetic to the woman as well as the man. Because she feels she is risking her greatness to be just a wife. And will this guy still be attracted to 'just a wife'? He hadn't been so far. So he is risking losing the 'woman' he adores to become...just someone.

This has some levels to it that weren't explored. I might like it more now that I think about it.

Not an affair

I have to say I liked this story. But I don;t see the wife having an affair. Yes, she did have sex with another man. And she did try to hide it from her husband. So NO, I do NOT think what she did was right or OK.

But she was not looking for love, adventure, companionship, emotional support or pleasure outside her marriage. She was looking for a specific set of actions to help her win. She did try to arrange to have those actions performed by her husband and only went to another when he was not available. When the other player was filling in for him, Giselle was not even getting excited( at least that is how I read the line about her not being wet when the Husband started taking over). So I think it was a forgivable 'cheat'.

What I have trouble forgiving is the sanctimonious environmentalism. I have no problem with us caring for our environment and limiting our scarring of the planet. But this had so many trite and hypocritical things going on I wanted to puke. Renewable Energy Certificates are the a joke. YOu are either poluting or you aren't. If you are, no number of Indulgences, purchased from the Church of Gaia will change that. And people should really look at the lifecycle cost of the Prius before being that excited about being eco-friendly. Rare earth elements are not that eco-friendly to produce. Old joke that is that it should be called the Pious and is causing cities to be choked in clouds of Smug.

But other than that, I enjoyed this quite a bit. Thanks for the fun read.

One other thing

That $40M haircut he took on the sale might sound nice, but it amounted to about $35k per employee per year. Either he has a incredibly high paid workforce or the buyers really took him to the cleaners. He pretty much eliminated their labor costs for the time period if executves are not included.

Generous to a fault. Literally. It would be hard to run a business like this let alone get rich doing it. There are limits.

A very good story

from one of my favorite authors. IMH did not convince me that RAAC was in order. I would have gone for BTB with evidence of adultery. She could afford the $15M payment. And he would likely do something good for the world with it.

Trumps

After The Donald divorced Ivana, and she insisted that $20,000 per month for Household Expenses was insufficient to maintain her Standard of Living, I made a decision. I would NOT take sides in disagreements between millionaires! That decision stood me in good stead when millionaire Pro Football players went on strike against the multimillionaire League owners.

I am invoking that in this situation between two Perfect People. They can just cry their own way to their respective banks!

3*

Enjoyed it

well written. Five stars. Just to clarify...did she actually have intercourse, or simply fingering (since that had been a part of the superstition)? Thought she would have pointed that out in her confession.

Superstition Over Faithfulness

She chose a recently created superstition over being faithful to her husband. He gave up $15 Million dollars by not seeking a divorce on grounds of adultery, for which he had ample evidence. Kick that piece of shit to the curb and she will never crack the top 100 ever again.

Fun Story

I usually don't like cuck stories or RAAC stories, but this one kind of worked. Ditto what Amyyum said. I think the husband had looked for a long time for somebody that he connected strongly with, hence his shock treatment to deal with her problem and willingness to stay with her.

I do not mind reconciliations. People are not perfect.

That being said however, I think reconciliation comes with a price.

There should be punishment. Something approximate to the level of betrayal. And to parties involved if appropriate. And I don't mean revenge fucking another woman, well unless it is the only way the scale will balance. But that is not the case here.

Kinky, dominant sex that she loves is not punishment. Making a choice between divorce and giving up superstitions is not a punishment. Maybe some sort of humiliation. Public paddling for example. Something more embarrassing than anything though it can certainly be a damn good paddling. And that will not hurt her career. Might even boost it. Just an idea.

But not off scot free. That offends my sense of justice.

I agree with DrSemblance, a reconciliation should not just be given without proper atonement or punishment, seems to me that the wife got off way too easily and that the husband should have taken significantly longer to get over his justified anger.
A proper punishment would be to have her sacrifice her dream goal that season, or a punishment that would at least make it a lot harder for her to achieve it.
