I read both stories
And they are fascinating (classical definition) versions of a Modern Fairy Tale. Morally Neutral, Ethically balanced stories about the overlap of the Mundane World and the Supernatural.
T_T, I suspect, if there is a criticism of either.both stories, that the critics will complain of a lack of violent punishment of the Females for becoming mature women.

Though based on the Cindy version, was surprised Temen didn't encourage Cindy to marry and thus propagate through a dual physical-ecto pregnancy like his father had.
