The author has a glaring common mistake which for the future needs correcting.
coed = female students
co-ed = mixed group of female and male student
So for fruture storied use the proper version of the work.

Anonymous with the coed correction could do well to google Muphry's Law to prevent mis-spelt pontification in the _future_...
