Oh Please
What a load of self-serving nonsense. Is there a male equivalent of BTB?
Cheating to a better life, uh?...
... While it might have been an interesting concept in a better written form, the old "heart of gold whore" thing is certainly worn out at this point. Not exactly sure what point you were trying to make, maybe that cheating is fine so long as it leads to a better life, but, really, isn't that the point of most cuckold stories.
THE LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE POLICY DOESNT ALWAYS WORK
unless you are subject to new trials and tribulations; TK U MLJ LV NV
This is another happy cheater story
But for me it worked. Usually I am not 'merry' enough to enjoy a TTT story, where everyone goes off to a cabin and fucks each other to the acceptance of all the other participants. I can't picture myself doing that.
This I liked. People cheat because something is wrong. It might be a little thing. It might be a big thing. He had many big things wrong in his life and he needed 'outside eyes'. The outside eyes were connected to an outside pussy as well.
The one twist I expected but didn't see was the wife having been a cheater herself...but I am glad we didn't go there.
He did the wrong thing but he improved his life and the lives of everyone else in his life with her help. So he is still wrong...but we have to acknowledge the good too.
He was lucky things did not go south however.
Excellent Story
It sets up lots of conflict in those who read stories as training in what to do in life.
The story was beautiful, but it seems beyond reality!
Yes, a good concept
So, a man meets a strange woman he knows nothing about. An affair leads to him straightening his life out. His wife never finds out what went on. It could happen.
Great Job
This story was a refreshing change from the many cuck/share the wife efforts. While some in that type are fair reads, many ere not. I can't complain cause all of you share your talents for free; even to accepting abuse from a horde of Anonymous critics! The characters in this effort were rendered fairly and with substance. The story line was unique and easily held my interest. Thanks
Ed
Great Story
I like stories with good plots and good writing. This fits both. I wish there were more LW stories that qualified.

Nice
Compact and with none of the clutter some writers love to stuff in their stories. Five stars for precision.
Really good story
In real life this story would never happen, but the characters, plot, and development were well done, and seemed more plausible than most of the stories here.
Thanks for a good read.
it is too bad she wasn't able to heed her own counsel
think of what she could have accomplished for herself in those 17 years.
Interesting Twists in this Story
First, what FD45 said. Second, part of the difficulty with Lit is that so many of the scenarios and formulas have been written multiple times by multiple authors - is refreshing to read something completely different. This also passes my "gender" flip test - if it was a wife who stepped out for same reasons and had same outcome, story would still be good. Good story!
I agree with @FD45...
I agree with @FD45...But what would be the comments if this story was exactly the same, but with the wife being the cheater? Good story though, 3* just because the wife didn't cheat...
Good story.....
Not a fan of cheaters, but I'll grant an exception with this story.
Not Likely
The kind of person that cheats on their spouse and encourage another to do so as well is not likely to provide good marriage advice. The type of guy who would cheat on his wife, and not feel any guilt - does not really love his wife or kids and would not likely magically become a better husband and father. Some serious plot flaws that kind of broke the spell, but still a fun read.
****
Good writing and reading. One of the VERY few stories in that I concur the cheating with Gina made a better man of Brian. If things between he and his wife weren't a bit rocky already the guilt may have been too depressing. Cheers!
Great Read*****
Something different and very entertaining. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed this story!!
great writing but
i couldnt give it 5 stars, i just dont like cheaters. but your writing is fantastic.what i dont get is why he couldnt get his life in order before he started cheating. why cant he confide in his wife, she is his life partner. why cant she be the one to set him straight. why did he need to cheat before he started paying attention to his kids. do you really need to be told this.oh well. at least you didnt have a bunch of dumbass plot holes that alone is worth 4 stars.
Great Story.
Agree with Mike. Four stars based on an undisclosed affair even though it improved the lives of those involved. And admittedly, disclosure would have destroyed the marriage. But a well-written piece with a happy and fulfilling ending - closure that I enjoy reading.
if Gloria had done this
The readers would be after her blood.
3 year affair and people are giving 4 + 5 stars.
Double standard???
Double Standard
It's obvious many commenters are fine with this man having an affair, but always howl at the moon in comments about a woman doing the same thing. You should write your next story with reversed roles just to observe the howls you will receive.
What was not said...
You really think that Gloria didn't know or find out what happened? "You really have gotten smarter, haven't you?" she chuckled. While not said, it is implied that Gloria found out something and made her peace with it. That would be an interesting chapter to read. I don't know of many stories that can pull that off well.
While I enjoyed how you make Brian a likeable character, I also agree that he was /is a cheater. I too would like to see you write a story with these roles reversed and see the reactions you get. We all see ourselves as the hero in our own lives. And if we are honest with ourselves, we recognize the hypocrisy we have. Can you accept the good and the bad in this story, like it, give it high ratings, then close your eyes and imagine that the roles are reversed, and still do the same?
Depressing
I love how the fact he was involved with a woman married to a gangster who could have brought all kinds of serious harm to his wife and kids was glossed over. Gangsters aren't exactly known for their fidelity and he was banging her without protection, so he could have killed his wife by disease as well. Let's not mention how he admits he's half way in love with her. But we're to believe he loves his wife and kids.
Yet, with all of these contradictions within the story, the author expects his readers to believe cheating can improve a marriage. If what he was doing was so beneficial to his marriage, why not show how his wife knew and was okay with it? Better yet, why not have them have an open marriage? He's obviously getting something he needs that his wife couldn't give him, and he damn sure wasn't giving her everything she needed in the marriage. I wonder how he would feel if he were to find out his wife is lending almost a half a million dollars to a former lover she used to cheat on him to make marriage to him bearable.
The incredible hypocrisy of his mistress is beyond belief, as a married woman being mistreated she finds nothing wrong with engaging in an affair with a man with children, who cares how her actions with him can damage them.
So, a selfish man has to have an affair with a random whore whom he will listen to, thus compounding the sheer disrespect he has for his wife and kids.
I'm an equal opportunity BTB, be it man or woman. Any story where the cheater wins is probably true to life, but depressing to read.
I read to escape the injustices of reality, not have them rubbed in my face.
Thanks for the offering.
Uplifting
I've only read a few of your stories, but I'm liking them a lot, especially the upbeat nature of them. I don't know if I just have missed the darker ones- I'll keep "doing research" to find out.
Good story except they were cheating on their spouses.
And there were some glaring holes in this such as Guido might have kept better track of his wife then you allowed for. But it's just a fictional story and anything is possible. I liked their relationship. And as long as they were going to get away with the cheating it would have been fun to see him leave his wife well off and sail off into the sunshine with his "mobster wife" and live happily ever after. It was probably a tossup as to who was better for him - his wife or Gina/Gabrielle. Choose Gabrielle just for ducks and the shock value.
No
No no no no no... NOOOOOO...
Double Standards
Yet again the misogynists are missing in action when the cheater is a man. Where are the calls to bash the bastard and enforce diabolical revenge?????
A good read. I enjoyed it.
