I thought this wasn't very good. It certainly wasn't original. The writing wasn't particularly clever. And the cardboard characters are both uninteresting and predictable. The characters were thoroughly detestable people. Lacking someone to root for, in the end, who cared who did what to whom? It simply wasn't entertaining to read. No stars.

Ha, majority rules. I think it is well written, and while every blackmail angle has probably been covered, this genre remains popular with many of us, I suspect. Make the chapters a little longer, please.

Too soon to say it is brilliant or not. But so far so good. Agree, longer chapters. And as for character development, I think it is fine. I don't need to know all their inner thoughts. The plot is clear and the blackmail is nicely done.
