Some of your constructions are very awkward.
It almost reads as if it has been written in a different language then put through an automatic translator.
Pity, you are a reasonable story teller but you need a good editor to sort out the grammar.

Thank you for your comment. It is much appreciated. I do write in English and I do not use an automatic translator. Apologies if my grammar is not 100% but it is colloquial writing. I appreciate the fact that you have suggested an editor but I think I will continue on my own for a little while.
