How could you do that to us?! Good to have you back! I've looked forward to this chapter for a while; you didn't disappoint. Sam is really coming into her own. Her inner conflict is believable. She knows what's going on is wrong but she can't help that weird bond she and Jack developed. What did she discover? I have so many thoughts running through my mind. I think I might pull all my hair out trying to figure out what's going to happen.

Sam's confusion and struggles are in the right pace. Fucking love this story

Jack is hot. Intense. Powerful. I love your writing. Its sublime. You are my favourite author in this site. I have others that I follow, but your writing I adore.

the envelope, that is. So Jack knows some man that Sam also knows. And Sam thinks that Jack's pursuit of her is a betrayal of this man, whoever he is. Looking forward to the next (and did you say final?) chapter to see how this resolves itself.

I was expecting some kind of climatic scene - I had thought Dad would discover Jack and have it out with him, resulting in Sam having to choose between the two - but your scenario is far better. (Though the gentleman could still be Sam's father.)

I liked Sam's comment about how "Samantha Ass" didn't have a good ring to it :-) She may not be "Samantha Ass" but Sam still can be a smart ass - who engages with Jack's single-minded obsession in a tantalizing way.

Whoever the mystery man is, I still hope Jack and Sam somehow end up together. And thanks for providing some details on who Jack is. Makes him seem more "well-rounded", though still kinda crazy.

I love your sense of humour. I've been laughing at the playful arguing of your protagonists. This chapter was more dramatic as you promised and it brought back the intensity of the relationship. It was well worth the wait and thank you for making it longer.

My emotions have run the gamut with this story. From wanting to see painful revenge done to cheering for Sam to continue questioning. You've suprised me by turning Sam into a strong young woman able to deal with Jack's overwhelming personality.

He didn't hit her but it was rape because she didn't have a choice. And believe me, she likes rough sex but she has never forgiven this guy for what he did, so why would Sam be so quick to forgive? Great sex? Orgasms? Wealth?

Rape isn't about sex, it's about power and you don't rape someone you love. As for Jack, he's a sociopath. She was hanging out with her cousin and he lost his shit, that isn't love, that is obsession and it's not about Sam, it's about Jack.

Ok this doesn't make sense. He drives a beat up old Dodge, but lives in a mansion with an in door pool.

When I first read this story, I thought Jack knew her parents; he had too many details about their personal lives. I even considered he was her mom's former lover. Maybe even her actual bio Dad. That'd be super freaky.

I assume he's Mr. Strauss, her Dad's boss. Or her Dad's friend.

amazing writing!! i couldn't wait for the continuation he he i really don't know how this story should end, it's just so crazy! it made me laugh when Jack explained that he wasn't in the mafia, that he didn't rob banks, etc. thought that some people commented on that in previous chapters lol.

On another tangent, what happens at the end here sort of explains why Jack didn't want to tell Sam how he had "found" her. Seems that it wasn't all too casual.

Regarding Jack's wealth ... I can totally see that. I live in Silicon Valley and you cannot judge wealth by clothing or car. Mark Zuckerberg is a classic example.

I've been rereading other chapters for clues and probably missed the details... As one Anon observed I can envision possible ties to Mr. Strauss but that doesn't really address the friendship mentioned. (I like working w my boss but we aren't best buds.) Only thing that caught my attention is how Jack knew she babysat a six year old boy on Wednesdays.

I've seen many people drive old cars while living in luxerious homes. Where I grew up commuters would drive old vehicles to catch the train. They are called "station cars" you can leave them in the lot during the day without worrying about scratches and dents on your luxury SUV/coupe/whatever.

I have read this story from the very beginning and it has been one of my favorites. With each new installment the dynamics change and I feel like Jack has really evolved from crazy stalker to semi controlling boyfriend. Hey Jack gave her an out already and she didn't take it. She must have feelings for him and then seeing that he had such a nice house etc....I feel like there's so much more that needs to be explained! You write with so much detail so I can't imagine how the story could end with just one more installment! I hope that the conclusion is worthy enough for the rest of this incredible story.

Still, I agree with other readers who have pointed out the odd fact that Jack doesn't go down on her much. I'll take it a step further to say he's not much into foreplay at all. After the intense build up resulting from how he describes what he wants to do to her, what he actually does to her feels a little anticlimactic...a little too "wam, bam, thank you, mam".

Also, Jack needs to get more of a life. Doesn't he have any friends?

But who am I to criticize? You're an excellent writer and I love the maturity (way beyond her age) that you give Samantha. You describe her inner turmoil perfectly and her ability to question how she perceives her situation is a unique trait for someone that young.

A very well written story, the problem is, I really cannot see where you are going to go with it. What you male lead has done, to little more than a child, is truly unforgivable. You have done a pretty good job at trying to make him seem less of a monster, but he is still a psychotic, violently self-deluded, scarily possessive repeat rapist with a nasty hair trigger. I am actually terrified for Sam. If she succumbs totally to Stockholm Syndrome, that is in no way a HEA. The only HEA I can see is for her to get the hell away from him, and for swift justice to kick him in the nuts repeatedly.

I hope Jack goes on an anger management program... and stops smoking:-)

This story makes me not ashamed of reading a rape tale, I can actually see him trying to redeem himself, but he's still a rapist. Sam is ideal in her thoughts, feelings, and actions. Love the dialogue.

At the end of Chapter 8... Jack asks Sam to live with him. That's why he takes her home. To convince her to say yes.
