I love the story but getting hit over the head with this WoT hurts... {Wall of Text}

Grammar, spelling, and structure is what helps readers understand what is in the author's mind. That is why it is important.

addendum

I forgot to include another suggestion. Think of a paragraph as a single moment in time, or single action during a scene. It is perfectly good to let a paragraph be one or two sentences.
